Custom Wooden Berdel Kitchen Islands

***Introducing the “Berdel"

-We are proud to offer this custom kitchen island as an everyday model for purchase! This kitchen island is meticulously designed and built from scratch to your wants and needs so you will be sure to receive exactly what you want!

-This custom kitchen island incorporates a hidden pullout premium spice rack, open storage with option of having a drawer, and also an option for a trash tilt out or a cabinet door.

Currently we are only offering a 48"w model with 2 options for depth; 25" depth has no overhang for seating whereas the 36" depth offers an overhang on the backside for seating. 

**PLEASE MAKE NOTE (as of 6/7/22) we are testing a new design for the spice rack. It is a little wider but not as deep. It will still hold roughly the same volume of spices but it allows us to build the base at the standard 23" as opposed to the current 28". This allows for a larger overhang for seating and also won't be as bulky. Note that the current photos do not depict the new design. As we create more we will update the photos accordingly.

-We also use premium grade 1.5” thick teak butcher block tops that are sealed and conditioned prior to delivery. There is little maintenance to these tops and are made to last. Upon delivery, our driver will hand you a cheat sheet for use and care regarding these premium teak butcher block countertops on these kitchen islands.

~Paint matters! We work closely with Benjamin Moore paints and we can offer you our everyday selections or you can have your very own custom paint color (+$75).

~Standard depth with NO overhang is 25”. The depth WITH overhang for seating is 36”. Be sure to choose the correct one at checkout.

~Each unit is made to order to your specs and design so you will be ensured to get exactly what you are looking for! It is also meticulously handcrafted by one of Wood You Build It’s master craftsman as opposed to using robotic machinery.

-Design details: Cabinet has a shelf inside halfway up which provides roughly a 15" shelf for each section. Trash tilt out option includes an 11.4 gal trash bin (included with purchase) that holds a standard 13gal trash bag. Spice rack has adjustable shelving. Drawer is roughly 18"w x 6"h x 16"d.
