This kitchen island is meticulously designed and built from scratch to your wants and needs so you will be sure to receive exactly what you want! Depending on your size that you choose, this will determine how many drawers you will receive which ranges from 1 drawer all the way up to 5 drawers. All drawers go across the top and open slatted shelving below allows for you to store and show off your things. Our extensive research has provided what we consider the perfect amount of drawers based on the size you choose. With over 10,000 variations we are sure you will find exactly what you are looking for! This kitchen island is made completely out of solid wood with a picture frame style for the perimeter.
We also use premium grade 1.5” thick teak butcher block tops that are sealed and conditioned prior to delivery. There is little maintenance to these tops and are made to last. Upon delivery, our driver will hand you a cheat sheet for use and care regarding these premium teak butcher block countertops on these kitchen islands.
~Paint matters! We work closely with Benjamin Moore paints and we can offer you our everyday selections or you can have your very own custom paint color (+$75).
~Standard depth with NO overhang is 25”. The depth WITH overhang for seating is 36”. Be sure to choose the correct one at checkout.
~Each unit is made to order to your specs and design so you will be ensured to get exactly what you are looking for! It is also meticulously handcrafted by one of Wood You Build It’s master craftsman as opposed to using robotic machinery.

Our greatest attribute is that these units arrive fully assembled and ready to go! This is completely unlike those other big box stores that will leave it on your doorstep, in a box, and then you are required to read a book of assembly instructions to assemble it! The trade off is that yours will be fully assembled but there might be a surcharge depending on your geographical location. We are the first ones to admit that shipping is off the charts right now and is not what we would consider cheap.
As always, we still offer complimentary personal delivery. A Wood You Build It employee will literally deliver directly to your home with full setup and will be available to answer any and all questions that you might have. Totally unprecedented in this day and age! Our footprint is slightly limited and we offer this service to the following states: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, DC.
From time to time we will travel to down the East Coast and as far west as Kansas/Minnesota. Those states plus the ones along the way do come at an additional cost. Please reach out to us to go over those details as it does take a full logistical effort to make these long distance journeys work as those trips tend to only happen a handful of times per year.
Any locations beyond that range will require a third party independent freight shipper which also comes at an additional cost. Please reach out regarding these details as well.
